TubeTheVote: Unbiased Social Media Political Magazine?

Posted by Syberplanet on September 12th, 2008 - 105 views

TubeTheVote is an interactive online political magazine that strives to be as unbiased as possible. How does it try to accomplish this difficult and rare feat? By trying to present as equal an amount of information for both political parties which isn’t as easy as it sounds. Political Points of View TubeTheVote truly is a social media political magazine because it provides the most popular types of content found online today such as YouTube videos, Flickr photos, Twitter messages and Blog posts. These resources are scoured routinely every day by journalism students from Michigan State University, Florida A&M, UC Berkeley, and the University of Texas which have all partnered with TubeTheVote. Their primary mission: Cover both sides of the story and both parties as fairly as possible. An Interface as Slick as a Politician It’s a pleasant and refreshing experience thumbing thru the digital pages of this new age magazine. The look and feel is extremely appealing and easy to navigate. It’s a slick interface and everything seems to snap into place rather quickly due to good performance. All of the content also loads in a brisk manner which adds to the enjoyment factor. Fun with Hanging Chads Despite the serious subject matter of politics, there are some fun things to experience in this magazine. One of the best ones is the Quote Quiz that tests your political savvy with ten questions. There’s a leaderboard to stoke your competitive fire. There’s also the best parody videos which is always a blast. You’re a Reader and a Contributer Another nice feature of the magazine is that you aren’t just a passive reader because you can actually become a contributor. There’s a User’s Picks area where you can upload videos and help add content to the magazine which is cool. The other way that you can become a part of the magazine is when they share something you’ve shared on Twitter, Flickr, YouTube or even on a blog. Final Vote Does TubeTheVote present a fair and honest view of both parties? The answer is a resounding affirmative. However, many people will not think that is the case because of their over-zealot blind allegiance to their party. Still, if you stepped back and tried to look at the material presented in this magazine with an open mind then you will see unbiased reporting presented in a unique and exciting manner. --- Related Articles at Mashable - All That's New on the Web: Mashable Named One of PC Magazine’s 100 Favorite Blogs Sober On New Year’s?
